I have always had a great admiration for people who spoke in front of an audience. The admiration that they stood there in front of so many people and came across so confidently themselves. How do they do it?
Now at the beginning of this month I spoke in front of an audience myself for the first time thanks to Belgium Information Workers User Group (BIWUG). They gave me a fantastic opportunity but without the tips from Yannick Reekmans, Elio Struyf and Rick van Rousselt, I wouldn’t have felt so confident myself that day.
By speaking at community events such as a biwug I want to contribute myself to share with others my knowledge that I have gained over the last 14 years.
I hope there will be future opportunities to speak in front of an audience. This is the next step in my personal and professional development.
